Meraki Vpn

Yeah, I didn't realize they had a concentrator vm - thanks for pointing that out.
That's a pretty good idea as it lowers the initial cost barrier for smaller shops.
The one area where I have an issue with Meraki pricing is the switches.
My trial includes a 24 port poe switch, and I'm having a hard time getting my head around the $2800 price tage, when I can get a comparable Cisco for like $900.
The Cisco web gui isn't all that sexy, but it does work, and since the switches pretty much by definition are sitting behind routers which already provide vpn access to the subnet, I already have remote management capability of the switches.
VPN Client Configuration on Z3. Having an issue with slow file transfer traffic when using Meraki Client VPN. We are using an MX64 and a MS250 in the office. From the ISP at the office, we are getting 100Mbps Up/Down symmetrical. Speedtests are consistent, and are getting 95-97Mbps up and down. Have not seen any errors, drops, or packet loss on any of the network ports.
It's nice to be able to see at a glance which devices are sitting behind which ports.

And I do understand that monitoring product to give that sort of visibility aren't cheap.
I just can't say that having the switches be part of the single pane of glass is compelling enough for the price premium.
For my major remote sites, I spec two switches so that if one fails we still have enough ports to just move jumpers and carry on.

So that means I'd be jumping from $1800 to $5600 on a 24 * 2 stack.

And it's worse if you run lightly loaded switches like I do.
Meraki Vpn Ports
We're growing fast enough that I have to over spec everything.
I don't dare put down a 24 port switch to cover 14 nodes, because that port count will increase to 28 or more in fairly short order.

I have a feeling I'll be keeping the routers and AP's, and sending the switch back and sticking with Cisco until the Meraki switch prices come down to earth.
